Celebrity Chefs Tour Logo Design

01. Overview

The Celebrity Chef Tour is a fictional culinary show that showcase top local chefs from throughout the country preparing their favourite dishes utilising fresh local ingredients.

Using and capturing fire indicates passion and the thrill of working as a chef, on the other hand, the five stars metaphorically reflect the calibre of the participants.

02. Logomark

The golden ratio approach

I have found that the more I incorporate the Golden Ratio in my design, the more pleasing the outcome. Similar to using a grid in layout design, using the Golden Ratio provides a framework for most of my design decisions.

03. Alignment

Primary Lockup

On the primary lockup, the center of the logotype should align to the center of the pan’s body and its flames for a good visual balance

Horizontal Lockup

On the horizontal lockup the spacing between the fire from the logomark and the Logotype is the width of the letter “C”

04. Typography

Rockwell is a slab serif typeface it looks like serifs, but has specific slab sections in them. They’re associated most frequently with confidence, solidity, and a sense of bold attitude all these attributes are also associated with the culinary industry.

05. Color Palette

Pumpkin Orange

Orange signifies vibrant energy and is the colour of optimism. A mix of both red and yellow, taking on the energetic traits of red and the happiness of yellow. Orange can signify enthusiasm, rejuvenation and vitality.

French Navy Blue

Blue represents calm, clarity, logic, serenity, reflection. Blue also represents honesty & integrity

06. Logomark Variation

Logo variations depend on color of background or limitations of any kind. Where possible the logo should be in full color and other three versions in appropriate circumstances.

07. Stationery

Form Merchandising I went with a minimalistic version of the horizontal lockup approach this version gave me more freedom for a bolder composition taking into account the different 3d scenarios where the logo will be printed so it doesn’t become warped on the curved surface. whereas for stationary, I decided to go with the primary lockup approach since we are using a larger and flatter surface.

Thank you for taking the time to watch this sneak peek and please stay tuned cause more sexy stuff is coming soon.
